ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

Root canal treatment is the process of removing the infected pulp from a tooth. This is done by debriding (cleaning) and shaping the root canal, then filling it with gutta-percha points and sealing it with a dental cement.

Root canal treatment procedure saves the tooth from extraction. It involves removal of the pulp from inside the tooth, then root canal filling and sealing it. This is done to save teeth that are badly damaged or infected with root canal abscess or periapical infection.

The most common reason for this type of treatment is pulpitis, which happens when there’s too much pressure on the nerve inside the tooth due to decay and other factors.
The patient will be given anesthesia in order to prevent discomfort during the procedure. The dentist will use a rotary file system to clean and shape the root canal. After that, they will place gutta perches points into the cleaned root canal which will then be sealed with a dental cement or other suitable material.
